The Bears were front and center at Thursday night's NFL Honors, the league's annual awards extravaganza at the site of the Super Bowl.
Caleb Williams' 46-yard walk-off touchdown pass to DJ Moore to beat the Packers in overtime Dec. 20 won the 2025 NFL Moment of the Year, while guard Joe Thuney claimed the inaugural Protector of the Year as the league's top offensive lineman.
Moore accepted the award from WWE superstar and avid Bears fan Seth Rollins, expressing gratitude and honoring owner Virginia Halas McCaskey, who passed away one year ago Friday, at the age of 102.
"I want to say thank you to God for our season," Moore said. "The season was special for the 2025 Bears because RIP Virginia. But we went out there and made some moments this year. They were special moments, and we look forward to causing havoc to the league next year."
Trailing their first-place showdown with the Packers 16-6 late, the Bears scored 10 points in the final 1:59 of regulation to tie the score 16-16 and then won 22-16 in overtime on Williams' long heave to Moore.
The TD was also named the best throw of the NFL season by future Hall of Famer Tom Brady and tabbed the Bears' top play of the year by ChicagoBears.com.

After Cairo Santos' 43-yard field goal cut the deficit to 16-9 with 1:59 to play in the fourth quarter, Josh Blackwell recovered the subsequent onside kick at the Bears' 47.
Williams followed by completing 6 of 8 passes for 53 yards capped by a 6-yard TD pass to Jahdae Walker on fourth-and-4 to tie the score 16-16 with :24 to play. Williams beat a Packers blitz and found the undrafted rookie wide open in the right corner of the end zone.
The Bears won the overtime coin toss and elected to kick. The Packers reached the Chicago 36, but on fourth-and-1, a botched exchange between center Sean Rhyan and quarterback Malik Willis resulted in a fumble that running back Emmanuel Wilson recovered short of the line to gain, turning the ball over on downs.
After Kyle Monangai's 11-yard run on third-and-3 sustained the Bears' first possession of overtime, Williams rainbowed the game-winning TD pass to Moore, igniting a raucous celebration at Soldier Field.
"It's amazing for that play to be recognized as the moment of the year," Williams said, "but everything leading up to that play was a full team effort to even put us in that position. Special teams was able to recover the onside kick and our defense was able to get a big stop to get us the ball back to put us in a great spot to go win the game.
