Will LeBlanc remain starting corner?

Wondering about a player, a past game or another issue involving the Bears? Senior writer Larry Mayer answers a variety of email questions from fans on

Do you think Cre'Von LeBlanc has any legitimate chance to be a starting cornerback once all the Bears cornerbacks are healthy?

Yes, I do believe that Cre'Von LeBlanc has a chance to be a long-term starter at cornerback. The Bears have been very impressed with his work ethic, coverage skills and knack for making plays on the ball—something he showed last Sunday with a pick-six against the Lions. Coaches also like that he's been durable; unlike many of his teammates, LeBlanc has not missed a game all season due to an injury. With that being said, I think it's fairly obvious that cornerback is one of the Bears' greatest need areas, so I expect them to bolster the position during the offseason. As a result, it may be more difficult for LeBlanc to earn a starting job because there could be better competition next summer in training camp and the preseason, but I wouldn't bet against him.

What are the coldest games the Bears have played at Soldier Field?

Rich M.

Temperature-wise, the four coldest Bears games at Soldier Field have been on 1) Dec. 22, 2008 when it was two degrees at kickoff in a 20-17 overtime win over the Packers; 2) Dec. 18, 1983 when it was three degrees in a 23-21 win over the Packers; 3) Jan. 10, 1988 when it was four degrees in a 21-17 playoff loss to the Redskins; and 4) Dec. 9, 2013 when it was eight degrees in a 45-28 win over the Cowboys. Sunday's game against the Packers certainly could crack that list.

I read that the Bears could sweep their NFC North rivals at home with a win over the Packers. When is the last time they did that?

Robert G.
Oak Forest, Illinois

The Bears last won all three regular-season home games against the Lions, Packers and Vikings in 2010, but they lost to Green Bay in the NFC Championship Game that year. The previous time they accomplished that feat was in 2008 when they finished 9-7.
