The Chicago Bears announced the club's 2026 Spain Flag Football Tour, the latest activation highlighting the franchise's commitment to the growth of flag football in Spain.
The club officially launched a Chicago Bears Spain Girls Flag League U15 (ages 12-15) in Madrid and Barcelona in November 2025, with a final tournament being held earlier this year in February. The 2026 Tour is the fourth consecutive year that the Bears will be holding flag football clinics in Spain, exhibiting the club's long-term commitment to its role in the global growth of flag football ahead of the sport's debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. On an international level, Spain has captured numerous European titles in both men's and women's flag football since 2019, with two top-10 world finishes in the world rankings for the Spanish women (2024 and 2026).
The Tour will span across four different cities in Spain, uniting with communities in Bilbao (Oct. 26-27), Barcelona/Badalona (Oct. 29-30), Valencia (Nov. 2-3) and Madrid (Nov. 5-6). In Bilbao, the Bears are partnering with La Liga's Athletic Club to connect with youth in the Basque Country for the first time. The Bears will host two days of clinics at Athletic Club's training facility, including one session welcoming their youth academy players. In Madrid, there will be an additional clinic at Plaza de España (Nov. 6), as part of NFL Experience Madrid for a group of local schoolchildren. The clinics will promote flag football in Spanish schools as they introduce boys and girls to a dynamic, accessible and inclusive sport. The focus of the clinics will be on the basic concepts of flag football while having the attendees participate in dynamic games and practical exercises. Bears Alumni Roberto Garza will take part in clinics across all four cities, as well as the clinic at Plaza de España in Madrid, while fellow Bears Alumni Charles Tillman is set to take part in the clinics in Valencia and Madrid.
Throughout the history of the Bears, dating back to 1920 and the influence of Founder George S. Halas, the franchise has been at the epicenter of international growth and development. Under the leadership of the McCaskey Family, the Bears have been at the forefront of growing the game of football abroad, while continuing to develop the international fan base of the Chicago Bears.

In September, the Chicago Bears officially launched the club's new Spanish-language initiative designed to connect with global Spanish-speaking fans through dedicated content and year-round storytelling. While Spain remains one of the club's designated international markets through the NFL's Global Markets Program, the initiative also creates opportunities to engage fans across Chicagoland and Spanish-speaking communities worldwide through original content that reflects the club's commitment to growing the game and celebrating the diverse audiences that support the Bears.
