The Chicago Bears are proud to celebrate Latino Heritage Month 2025, recognizing the rich histories, cultures and contributions of the Latino community. The Chicago Bears plan to celebrate the spirit of Latino fans and communities that continue to define and inspire Chicagoland.
Throughout Latino Heritage Month, and beyond, the Chicago Bears will highlight the impact of the Latino community, supporting programs that make a difference, and creating spaces where culture and football come together.
Here's how the team will honor Latino Heritage Month and continue building those connections throughout Chicagoland:
Community Engagement
During Latino Heritage Month, and throughout the year, the Chicago Bears proudly participate in events that celebrate Latino culture and heritage. Players dedicate their days off to volunteering in local communities, while staff members actively support initiatives that uplift and empower Latino neighborhoods across Chicagoland. Here's how the Chicago Bears are engaging with the community during the next two months:
- Mini Monsters Clinics: Throughout the year, the Chicago Bears are hosting Mini Monsters clinics, brought to you by Advocate Children's Hospital, in predominantly Latino communities, including Elgin, Carpentersville and Chicago. These clinics focus on educating elementary students about healthy eating, physical activity and proper hydration through non-contact football drills, guided by several Chicago Bears players and alumni.
- Bears Huddle: The Chicago Bears will host a Bears Huddle event at New Life Centers in Little Village, a predominantly Latino neighborhood of Chicago. Bears Huddle volunteers will help package food items and support local families as part of the program's mission to connect staff and community members through service. New Life Centers, a nonprofit serving Chicago's West Side and Little Village, focuses on restorative justice, mentoring, education and food distribution, making it a vital resource for families in the community.
- Teaming Up Against Hunger: The Chicago Bears will join the Chicago Sky and Chicago Cubs at the Greater Chicago Food Depository in Archer Heights on Thursday, Sept. 25, for the annual Giving Back event. This event brings together staff members from local professional sports teams to pack food for partner pantries, helping feed neighbors in need across Chicagoland. The Greater Chicago Food Depository, the food bank serving Cook County, partners with a network of community-based organizations to provide food and hope to more than 800,000 people every year.
- Away Game Watch Party by Miller Lite: On Sept. 28, the Chicago Bears and Miller Lite will host a Latino Heritage Month Game watch party at Rookies Sports Bar & Grill in Elgin, Ill., as the Chicago Bears face the Las Vegas Raiders in Las Vegas. The event will give fans a spirited gameday experience while the team is on the road, featuring live entertainment, giveaways, photo ops, and food and drink specials. Fans can also enjoy appearances by Staley Da Bear, the Monster Squad and live music from DJ JayFunk, bringing the excitement and energy of Soldier Field's gameday atmosphere to the local community.
- High School Latino Heritage Game: The Chicago Bears will host a special Latino Heritage High School Game on Oct. 3 at Elgin High School, featuring varsity girls' flag football and boys' football matchups between Larkin High School and Elgin High School. Fans can enjoy Latino Heritage–inspired giveaways, while both teams will receive commemorative t-shirts designed in collaboration with Elgin High School students and the Chicago Bears Brand Creative team. Chicago Bears alumni and Staley Da Bear will also be in attendance to celebrate the occasion.
- Carrera de los Muertos 5K: On Nov. 1, the Chicago Bears will participate in the Carrera de los Muertos 5K in Pilsen, a Día de los Muertos (Day of the Death) tradition that brings the community together to celebrate culture and support local youth programs. Chicago Bears staff will run and cheer alongside participants. Additionally, participants can stop by the Chicago Bears booth prior to the race for fun giveaways, including a limited-edition "Vamos Bears" scarf. The Bears will also donate $5,000 to UNO in support of programs like GirlsMpowered and RunHer, which provide mentorship, mental health resources and wellness opportunities for young women in the community.
