As part of the continued efforts by the Bears organization to work with special events, organizations and charities within the community, here are a few of the events players, coaches and staff took part in away from the football field during the week of December 10.
Sit, Stay, Read!
Kicker Cody Parky visited Gale Elementary School in Chicago as part of the Sit, Stay, Read! program. The mission of the organization is to advance children's literacy skills using an engaging curriculum, certified dogs, and dedicated volunteers. Bears Care has generously supported Sit, Stay, Read! for over years through grants and player appearances.
An Evening Within Reach
Bears fans enjoyed An Evening Within Reach hosted by wide receiver Allen Robinson. Guests joined Allen and teammates for dinner, along with silent and live auctions, in support of the Within Reach Foundation. The mission of his foundation is to provide educational opportunities and resources to low-income and inner-city Chicago-area students to help put success within their reach.
