Operation Holiday Cheer

The Chicago Bears, Bears Care and United Airlines joined together to host a holiday party for more than 300 members of the U.S. Military and their families in the United Club at Soldier Field on Wednesday, December 10.

The 2014 Bears Rookie Class, including Blake Annen, Jonathan Brown, Ka'Deem Carey, Brandon Dunn, David Fales, Ego Ferguson, Kyle Fuller, Shamiel Gary, Ryan Groy, Christian Jones, DeDe Lattimore, Rashad Lawrence, Charles Leno Jr., Al Louis-Jean, Jacob Maxwell, Jamil Merrell, Terrance Mitchell, Patrick O'Donnell, Michael Ola, Senorise Perry, Will Sutton, and Brock Vereen, along with Bears mascot, Staley, all joined in on the holiday fun by helping out at the party.

Decked out in Bears Santa hats and their jerseys, the players visited with the families and took part in games and activities including arts and crafts, "Be A Bear," visiting with Santa, ping pong, Pro vs. G.I. Joe, cookie decorating, and more.

The Bears, Bears Care and United Airlines worked with the Road Home Program: The Center for Veterans and Their Families at Rush and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago to identify soldiers, veterans and their families to invite to the event.
