Top Storyline
The Bears will enter Miami well rested after coming off their bye week following an explosive offensive performance in Week 4 against the Buccaneers. The Bears will look to carry some of that momentum into their first matchup with an AFC team this season as they enter the second quarter of their schedule.

In their last time out, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had a historic performance, throwing fox six touchdowns and 354 yards. He'll face a Miami defense that has a league-best 10 interceptions. The Bears defense is coming off a dominant first month of play. The unit ranks first in the league in sacks per game, is tied for first in interceptions per game and is second in total average yards allowed per game. They'll get a chance to add to those numbers on Sunday against a Dolphins team coming off back-to-back losses.

Familiar Faces
The Dolphins sideline will be littered with some familiar faces Sunday. Miami head coach Adam Gase was the Bears offensive coordinator during the 2015 season before accepting his current role with the Dolphins. Gase's coaching staff features numerous former Bears personnel. Dolphins offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains served as the Bears quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator from 2015-2017. Tight ends coach Shane Day spent time with the Bears as a quarterbacks coach from 2010-2011. Dolphins quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree, running game coordinator Eric Studesville and offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn also all had stints in Chicago. Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, whose first year with the Bears overlapped with Gase, said he won't try to overthink his defensive game plan despite having more of a familiarity with Gase's offensive style.

History Lesson
The Bears are 4-8 all-time against the Dolphins in regular-season play. The two teams have split the last six meetings, and the Dolphins took the edge in the last matchup, taking a 27-14 victory in 2014. The Bears took down the Dolphins, 16-0, in their last trip to Miami in 2010.
