Interested in what type of player the Bears will be able to land with the eighth pick in the draft. So I'm wondering: Who has been picked in that slot in recent years?

The best players chosen at No. 8 over the past 20 years have been Falcons linebacker Vic Beasley in 2015, Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall in 2004 and Panthers tackle Jordan Gross in 2003. The worst have been Titans quarterback Jake Locker in 2011 and Browns cornerback Justin Gilbert in 2014. Here's a list of the other 15 players (not mentioned above) who were selected at No. 8 over the past 20 years: Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (2017), Titans tackle Jack Conklin (2016), Rams receiver Tavon Austin (2013), Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill (2012), Raiders middle linebacker Rolando McClain (2010), Jaguars tackle Eugene Monroe (2009), Jaguars defensive end Derrick Harvey (2008), Falcons defensive end Jamaal Anderson (2007), Bills safety Donte Whitner (2006), Cardinals safety Antrel Rolle (2005), Cowboys safety Roy Williams (2002), Bears receiver David Terrell (2001), Steelers receiver Plaxico Burress (2000), Cardinals receiver David Boston (1999) and Cowboys defensive end Greg Ellis (1998).

What college has produced the most Bears draft picks?

The Bears have selected 41 players from Notre Dame since the NFL Draft began in 1936, the most from any school. Ohio State is second with 30, followed by Texas (27), Oklahoma (26), Stanford (24), Northwestern (21) and Miami (21). The Bears have chosen a player from all of the aforementioned colleges since 2007 except Notre Dame. The last time the Bears picked a Fighting Irish prospect was in 2001 when they selected guard Mike Gandy in the third round.

They include first-rounders Mitchell Trubisky, Leonard Floyd, Kevin White, Kyle Fuller and Kyle Long; second-rounders Adam Shaheen, Cody Whitehair and Eddie Goldman; third-rounders Jonathan Bullard and Hroniss Grasu; fourth-rounders Tarik Cohen, Eddie Jackson, Deon Bush, Deiondre' Hall and Nick Kwiatkoski; fifth-rounders Jordan Morgan, Jordan Howard and Adrian Amos; sixth-rounders Patrick O'Donnell and DeAndre Houston-Carson; and seventh-rounder Charles Leno Jr.
