Flashback Friday | Home opening wins in last 25 years
In advance of Sunday's home opener against the New York Giants at Soldier Field, take a look back at each victory the Bears have earned in the first home game of the season since 1995.

1995: Bears - 31, Vikings - 14
Tied 14-14 at halftime, the Bears scored 17 second-half points to knock off their NFL Central rivals. Erik Kramer threw three TD passes in the win, including a pair to Curtis Conway.

1996: Bears - 22, Cowboys - 6
The defense stifled the defending Super Bowl champions in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football, forcing four fumbles, including one recovered by Bryan Cox for a TD to seal the win late in the fourth quarter.

1999: Bears - 20, Chiefs - 17
The Bears took a 20-3 halftime lead thanks to Shane Matthews TD passes to Curtis Enis and John Allred, and withstood a 14-point second-half rally from Kansas City to earn the win.

2001: Bears - 17, Vikings - 10
Playing a week later than scheduled due to the 9/11 attacks, a pair of fourth-quarter TD passes from Jim Miller helped the Bears come back from a 10-0 third-quarter deficit.

2002: Bears - 27, Vikings - 23
Playing in Champaign's Memorial Stadium because of renovations at Soldier Field, the Bears overcame deficits of 20-10 and 23-13 thanks to late TDs from Anthony Thomas and David Terrell.

2005: Bears - 38, Lions - 6
Thomas Jones ran for a pair of TDs, Bobby Wade returned a punt 73 yards for a score and the defense forced five Lions turnovers, including a Mike Brown 41-yard interception return for a TD.

2006: Bears - 34, Lions - 7
The Bears took a 24-0 halftime lead thanks to three Rex Grossman TD passes. The defense recovered three fumbles and sacked Lions QB Jon Kitna six times.

2007: Bears - 20, Chiefs - 10
Devin Hester returned a punt 73 yards for a TD midway through the second quarter, and the defense sacked Kansas City quarterbacks four times to boost the defending NFC champions to a win.

2009: Bears - 17, Steelers - 14
Jay Cutler threw a pair of TD passes to Kellen Davis and Johnny Knox in his first start at Soldier Field, and Robbie Gould connected on a game-winning 44-yard field goal with just :15 remaining.

2010: Bears - 19, Lions - 14
A potential game-winning touchdown catch by Calvin Johnson was correctly ruled an incompletion because the Lions star had not maintained possession of the ball through the entire process of the catch. Matt Forte caught a pair of TD passes in the win.

2011: Bears - 30, Falcons - 12
Matt Forte took a screen pass 56 yards for a first-quarter TD, and Brian Urlacher added an INT and fumble recovery for a TD as the Bears took down the Falcons.

2012: Bears - 41, Colts - 21Â
The defense forced five turnovers, including three interceptions of Andrew Luck in his first NFL game, and Jay Cutler threw for 333 yards and 2 TDs.

2013: Bears - 24, Bengals - 21
Down 21-10 late in the third quarter, the Bears rallied to score the final 14 points of the game to defeat Cincinnati in Marc Trestman's first game as head coach. Brandon Marshall caught eight passes for 104 yards, including the game-winning TD, in the victory.

2018: Bears - 24, Seahawks - 17
In Matt Nagy's first home game as head coach, the Bears knocked off Seattle thanks to a fourth-quarter pick-six by CB Prince Amukamara.
