PRO CAREER:

  • Selected by the Bears in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft (39th overall)
  • Has totaled 132 tackles (99 solo), 12 passes defensed, five tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, 1.0 sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and five interceptions in 26 games (21 starts)

2023 SEASON (BEARS):

  • Appeared in 13 games (seven starts) after missing four games on Injured Reserve
  • On the season, logged 61 tackles (44 solo) with two interceptions, six passes defensed, three tackles for loss, two quarterback hits and 1.0 sack
  • Placed on injury reserve following Week 1
  • Recorded five tackles (three solo) and one pass defensed in Week 6 against the Vikings
  • Recorded first QBH of career in Week 7
  • Had season-high eight tackles (seven solo) in Week 10
  • Recorded first interception of season in Week 12

  • Compiled a career-best 10 total tackles (eight solo) in Week 5 at Minnesota
  • Also blocked Minnesota kicker Greg Joseph's 51-yard field goal attempt with 7:38 to go in the third quarter
  • It was Chicago's first blocked field goal of the season and their first field goal block since Oct. 26, 2020, vs. Los Angeles when Roy Robertson-Harris blocked Rams K Sam Sloman's 48-yard attempt
  • Started at corner in Week 6 vs. Washington, finishing with six tackles (five solo) and one pass defensed
  • Recorded his first career interception in Week 7 against the Patriots ... Was the Bears third interception and fourth takeaway, snagging the Bailey Zappe pass with 2:52 left in the fourth quarter
  • He and
    teammate Jaquan Brisker become the first pair of Bears rookies to record an interception in the same game since David Bass and Jon Bostic did so on Nov. 17, 2013 vs. Baltimore
  • Recorded three solo tackles at Dallas in Week 8
  • Led the team in tackling in Week 9 vs. Miami, finishing with eight combined tackles (seven solo)
  • Started at defensive back against the Lions in Week 10 and played every snap
  • Started and notched four tackles and one TFL in the Bears Week 11 contest at Atlanta
  • Returned to the lineup in Week 15 vs. the Eagles and had four combined tackles (three solo), an interception, a fumble recovery and one pass defensed
  • Intercepted Jalen Hurts with 7:26 remaining in the first quarter
  • Later scooped up a fumble forced by Mike Pennel Jr. to give him his second takeaway of the game ... It's the first time a Bears player has had an interception and fumble recovery in the same game since Roquan Smith did so at Jacksonville on Dec. 27, 2020
  • He's also the fourth Bears rookie with such a performance, with the last player being Eddie Jackson, who did so twice during his 2017 rookie campaign
  • Forced the first takeaway of the game in Week 16 vs. Buffalo, picking off Josh Allen with 13:10 remaining in the second quarter. It's Gordon's second straight game with a pick, and his third on the season
  • That is tied for third-most among all rookies. In addition to the interception, Gordon had five solo tackles and one PD
  • Gordon is the fourth Bears defensive back since the start of the 2000 season to log interceptions in consecutive games of his rookie season. He joins Charles Tillman (2003), Nathan Vasher (2004) and Kyle Fuller (2014)
  • Recorded seven total tackles (six solo) at Detroit in Week 17
