PRO CAREER: Entering his  eighth season in the NFL and third with the Bears after being traded from the Washington Commanders in 2023...Has started all 109 regular season games he has appeared in...Has registered 307 tackles (191 solo), with 57.0 sacks, 129 quarterback hits, 73 tackles for loss, 15 forced fumbles, 21 passes defensed and one interception returned for a touchdown...Also has three postseason starts where he has totaled nine tackles (four solo), two sacks, six quarterback hits, a pass defended and a forced fumble.

2025 SEASON (BEARS): Started all 17 regular season games season...Had 53 tackles (36 solo) including a team leading 10.0 sacks and 13 tackle for loss along with five passes defended and three forced fumble...With a strip sack on the Saints opening drive in Week 7, Sweat became just the third Bears defender to force a fumble in consecutive games since 2018...In the Bears Week 10 victory, had 1.5 sacks giving him one-plus sack in four-straight games...He is the first Bears player to go four straight games with a sack since he did so W11-14 in 2023...In the Bears Week 12 victory, had a pair of sacks, including a strip sack which he recovered himself...Also tied a career high with three tackles for loss...Started in the Bears Wild Card Round victory contributing three tackles, three quarterback hits and one pass defended...His three quarterback hits are the most by a Bears defender in a playoff game since the stat began being track in 2006...Starting in the Bears Divisional Round game, contributed a second quarter strip sack of Rams QB Matthew Stafford.

2024 SEASON (BEARS): Started in 16 games recording 32 tackles (18 solo), 5.5 sacks, 12 quarterback hits, nine tackles for loss, two passes defended and a forced fumble…In Week 4, had a strip sack on Rams QB Matthew Stafford setting the Bears up at the Rams 16-yard line allowing them to score their first points of the game.

2023 SEASON (BEARS/COMMANDERS): Started 17 games (eight games for Commanders, nine for Bears)...Was traded to Chicago in Week 9 from Washington...Recorded 57 tackles (38 solo), 12.5 sacks, 25 quarterback hits, 14 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and four passes defensed...Ranked T-10th in sacks and T-16th in TFLs in the league...Became first player in NFL history to lead two teams in sacks in the same season (Commanders- 6.5/Bears- 6.0)...Named to first Pro Bowl.

2022 SEASON (COMMANDERS): Appeared and started in all 17 games...Registered 46 tackles (27 solo), eight sacks, 28 quarterback hits, 14 tackles for loss and two passes defensed.

2021 SEASON (COMMANDERS): Appeared in and started 10 games...Recorded 24 tackles (13 solo) with five sacks and three tackles for loss.

2020 SEASON (COMMANDERS): Started all 16 games...Registered 45 tackles (28 solo), nine sacks and one interception returned for a touchdown...Became fourth player in Washington history to notch 14.0+ sacks in first two seasons...Tallied 12 tackles for loss, T-sixth most among defensive ends...Tied Brian Orakpo with 33 quarterback hits for most through first two seasons in Washington franchise history...Joined LaVarr Arrington as only two players from Washington to tally at least nine sacks and six passes defensed in a season.
