What or who should the average viewer look for in the preseason finale since the starters won't play much if at all?

I think the most important thing to watch Thursday night in Cleveland is whether the Bears get any players hurt, especially at positions such as linebacker and safety where injuries have already thinned out the depth chart a bit. I'll also be interested to see how running backs Lorenzo Booker and Armando Allen fare in their competition for the third spot, and whether rookie punter Ryan Quigley has a second straight good game. I think that while most of the roster decisions have already been made, Quigley is the one guy who can earn a spot on the 53-man roster with an impressive performance—at least until Adam Podlesh recovers from his hip flexor injury.
Has the left tackle position been decided? If not, who will start against the Browns?

The Bears have not announced whether J'Marcus Webb or Chris Williams will be their opening day starter at left tackle. But I will be very surprised if Webb doesn't win that competition based on the fact that he started each of the first three preseason games and has remained with the No. 1 unit. The Bears have not revealed who will start or how much Webb or Williams will play in Cleveland.
What are the chances of the Bears only keeping two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster?

That's a very good question. I think you can make a case on both sides of the debate whether you keep Josh McCown as the third-string quarterback behind Jay Cutler and Jason Campbell, or give that spot on the 53-man roster to someone else. On one hand, McCown proved he could play late last season when he was called upon and would remain a valuable insurance policy. On the other hand, the Bears could opt to put a young quarterback on the practice squad just in case and use the extra roster spot on a second punter while Adam Podlesh recovers from his hip flexor injury or at another position to improve depth. It will definitely be interesting to see what the Bears do. Email your question to Larry
