Coby Bryant Fast Facts 3.16.26 16x9 - 1W

New Bears safety Coby Bryant talks with ChicagoBears.com about his introduction to the NFL, the inspiration behind his gameday fits, favorite travel destination and much more.

What was your welcome to the NFL moment?

My rookie year, first game, second play of the game, Monday Night Football. Got bombed by Jerry Jeudy for 60 yards. And then I got taken out after that, and I didn't play for the rest of the game. It made a man out of me.

How were you introduced to football?

I would say watching my older brother. He's seven years older than me, so probably when he was nine and I was either two or three. So just watching him play football, like Pop Warner, and being around him and my dad and just being around the game.

What position did he play?

Quarterback. He was bigger than everybody, so I was very intrigued to see him out there and then knowing he was my brother. So that was exciting.

What's the first thing you think of when you hear Chicago?

Deep dish pizza.

But you don't like it?

I don't. I'm not even gonna lie to you. I don't. I've had it one time. It's not the worst. It was actually after a game here two years ago.

What do you want to know about the city or what's something you want to do?

Explore downtown. Obviously, I can't wait to be a part of the energy in the stadium and see the fans too. That's the most important thing to me.

Who's been the toughest matchup in the league?

I would say Davante Adams. He's legit. A vet, much respect to his game. He's been legit since he came into the league, so it's always a challenge facing him.

What's the key to a good gameday fit?

I always talk to my dad. He's big into fashion. So me and him will cook up some ideas, no stylist, just us. He introduced it to me early, so just us talking about ideas or what I'm thinking I want to wear, and we just chop it up. He'll send me, "This will look nice." So just me and him being on the same page, and then coming together. That's how we come up with a fit. Look good, play good.

What was your favorite memory from your Super Bowl win?

Favorite memory was just seeing my parents come down and see how excited they were, and just gave them a big hug. That was exciting. It was a surreal moment, obviously, just winning at that big of a stage, and then being with the people who gave me life, just being in my corner every step of the way.

Who are you most excited to team up with in Chicago?

Everyone, honestly. We got some guys on defense. Jaylon Johnson, I'm aware of this game. Kyler Gordon, we came into the NFL together. And then obviously, Caleb Williams. A whole bunch of those guys, man. I'm excited, for sure.

What is on your pregame playlist?

I would say my top is Babyfxce E. He's from Detroit. I'm from Cleveland, so it's close to me. I've been bumping him a lot.

Do you have a hidden talent?

No, I don't. Just that I can play baseball.

What position?

Center field.

Do you think you could still do it now?

Absolutely. I think I might actually try to play baseball after I'm done with football.

What's a random fact that you can't find about you on the internet?

I'm ambidextrous. So I throw with my left, but write with my right.

If you could build your ideal safety, which players would be in the mix?

I would say Sean Taylor, Ed Reed and me.

What is the best offseason activity for you?

Travel. I'm going to Aruba in two weeks with my family. So I'm gonna go out there for my birthday, see some good weather, eat some good food.

What's the best place you've traveled so far?

Cabo. Had a great time there.
