Pro Bowl Postcards: Kevin Byard III | Wednesday, Feb. 4
As told to Gabby Hajduk

The Bears have four players — offensive linemen Joe Thuney and Drew Dalman and defensive backs Nahshon Wright and Kevin Byard III — participating in the 2025 Pro Bowl Games this week in San Francisco. Check out Byard's final postcard following the NFC's victory Tuesday night.

What's up Bears fans,

It's KB again and this time I'm checking in after our Pro Bowl dub. We beat the AFC 66-52 last night and honestly, it was a great time.

This year's Pro Bowl was a bit different than the ones I've been to. We just had the flag football game and it was cool. Everyone was talking this week about the Olympics and flag football being a part of it in 2028, but I'm gonna leave that for the younger guys. It's definitely a fun and different way to play the game, so I'm glad I got to experience it.

I'm not gonna lie though, I think I popped the game off for us when I had my interception in the first quarter. We were up 8-0 and Shedeur was trying to get the AFC on the board, but his pass tipped off Ja'Maar and I caught the ball one-handed.

I actually cribbed it but the referees called it back because they said Cooper DeJean was illegal blocking. It should've been a touchdown and they were just trying to mess up my fun, but it's all good. I know I had six points.

Shonny got himself an interception, too. I mean it's just me and Nahshon doing what we do best, taking the ball away. He picked off a deep ball in the back of the end zone which actually gave us six points because of the new rules this year. But I still think I had the better interception, easily.

It's really a blessing to go out there, have fun with the guys and obviously get the Pro Bowl dub for the NFC. That's what it's all about. And some of our players were making some great plays. I mean, CeeDee, George Pickens, those guys had some crazy catches, which was awesome to see.

This whole experience has been incredible. My kids got to run around the field after the game and celebrate with their dad, which is all they want to do.

We definitely made the most of the week. On Sunday, Clarke and I took the kids to the aquarium, the exploratorium and one of the famous piers, and then Monday we went to the zoo and met up with Nahshon and his family.

The kids really had such a great time and that's what matters most. It's one of those things that when you look back five or 10 years from now, you'll realize this was truly a blessing. We're truly living our dream and I'm just grateful to experience it all with my family.

I hope y'all had fun watching the Pro Bowl and following along with us this week. Bear Down!
