The Chicago Bears on Saturday announced that the club has placed defensive back Kyler Gordon on Reserve/Injured.
Chicago has also elevated running back Brittain Brown and linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Per NFL regulation, standard elevations revert back to the practice squad following the game.
Brown has spent the entirety of the 2025 regular season on Chicago's practice squad. Brown, who initially joined the Bears during training camp, has appeared in eight career NFL games, including six as a rookie with the Las Vegas Raiders (2022), making his Bears debut in Chicago's Week 9 win over Cincinnati, where he tallied 37 yards on five carries (7.4 yards per att.), including a 22-yard touchdown. Entering the league as a seventh-round selection (250th overall) by Las Vegas in 2022, Brown spent themajority of last season on the practice squad of the Seattle Seahawks (2024). A native of Canton, Ga., Brown prepped collegiately at Duke (2017-19) and UCLA (2020-21), totaling 42 games played, rushing for 2,284 net yards on 406 carries (5.6 avg.) with 21 rushing touchdowns, as well as 41 receptions for 431 yards (10.5 avg.) and two receiving scores over his five seasons of action.
Reeves-Maybin, who is in his ninth NFL season in 2025, joined the Bears prior to Week 12 and has played in two games with Chicago thus far this season. Reeves-Maybin has appeared in 116 career regular-season games (14 starts), as well as four postseason outings, for the Bears (2025), Lions and Houston Texans (2022) since entering the league as a fourth-round selection (124th overall) by Detroit in 2017. Reeves-Maybin has amassed 160 tackles (109 solo), including nine tackles for loss, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries defensively, adding 61 career special teams tackles. In 2023, Reeves-Maybin earned AP Second-Team All-Pro status and Pro Bowl recognition for his performance on special teams. A native of Clarksville, Tenn., Reeves-Maybin appeared in 41 career collegiate games at Tennessee (2013-16), amassing 240 tackles (149 solo), including 27 tackles for loss, earning Second-Team All-Southeastern Conference honors in 2015.
