Top 10: Longest series
With the Bears playing their two oldest rivals the next two Sundays, here's a look at the franchise's top 10 longest series by opponent.

(10) Browns (first meeting in 1951)
The Bears lost their first game against the Browns 42-21 Nov. 25, 1951 in Cleveland. The Browns joined the NFL in 1950 after playing in the rival All-America Football Conference from 1946-49—and winning all four championships in the league's brief history.

(9) 49ers (1950)
The first game between the teams came during the second week of the 1950 season when the Bears registered a 32-20 win in San Francisco.

(8) Rams (1937)
The Bears won the first meeting between the teams 20-2 in 1937 when the Rams were based in Cleveland. The franchise later moved to Los Angeles in 1946, St. Louis in 1995 and back to Los Angeles in 2016.

(7) Steelers (1934)
The Bears beat Pittsburgh, then known as the Pirates, 28-0 on Oct. 10, 1934 in the first meeting between the two teams—the first of 13 straight victories by Chicago. The Bears didn't lose to the Steelers until 1958.

(6) Eagles (1933)
Just like with Washington, the Bears' first game against the Eagles ended in a tie, 3-3, on Nov. 12, 1933. Interestingly, the Bears won their first 15 home games in the series from 1939-95.

(5) Washington (1932)
The two teams first met when the Washington Football Team was known as the Boston Braves in 1932, tying 7-7.

(4) Lions (1930)
The Bears first faced the Lions in 1930 when the Lions were known as the Portsmouth Spartans, splitting two games. The Bears' 104 wins over the Lions are their most versus any NFL team.

(3) Giants (1925)
The Bears won the first meeting between the teams, 19-7, on Dec. 6, 1925. The two clubs have played each other in four NFL Championship Games, with the Bears winning in 1941, 1946 and 1963 and losing in 1956.

(2) Packers (1921)
The first meeting between the teams occurred Nov. 27, 1921, with the Bears, then known as the Decatur Staleys, winning 20-0. Next week's contest in Green Bay will be the 204th meeting, the most between any two teams in the NFL.

(1) Cardinals (1920)
The Bears and Cardinals, the only two founding NFL franchises still active, met in the league's first year of existence in 1920, splitting two games. The Cardinals, then located in Chicago, won the first meeting over the Bears, then known as the Decatur Staleys, 7-6, before the Staleys rebounded with a 10-0 win.
