Chicago Bears announce roster moves

Footballs Roster Moves Generic 16x9 - 1W

The Chicago Bears have announced that the club has signed quarterback Miller Moss to the Practice Squad and has elevated Moss and wide receiver Kaden Davis from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. In a corresponding move, the Bears have released defensive back Keidron Smith from the practice squad. Per NFL regulations, all standard elevations revert back to the practice squad following the game.

Davis spent training camp with the Bears before signing to the club's practice squad prior to the start of the regular season. In the preseason, Davis amassed five receptions for 93 yards, including four receptions for 88 yards in the preseason opener against Cleveland. Since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022 out of Northwest Missouri State, Davis has appeared in three regular-season games, all with Cleveland (2024-25).

Moss spent the 2026 offseason and training camp with Chicago after signing with the Bears as an undrafted free agent. After starting his collegiate career at USC (2021-24), Moss spent the 2025 season at Louisville, helping lead the Cardinals to a 9-4 record as a starter, completing 244-of-380 passes for 2,769 yards and 16 touchdowns. Moss started nine games in his final season at USC, throwing for 18 passing scores.
