The Chicago Bears have announced that the club has signed running back D'Andre Swift to a three-year extension through 2029.

Last season, Swift rushed for a career-high 1,087 yards, along with a career-best nine rushing scores, helping lead Chicago to rank No. 3 in the NFL in rushing yards per game (144.5) en route to an NFC North Division title and the NFC Divisional Round. Since joining the Bears in 2024, Swift has started all 33 of his regular-season appearances for Chicago, as well as both playoff outings in 2025. Swift has totaled 4,775 rushing yards, 38 rushing touchdowns and 6,872 yards from scrimmage over his first six NFL seasons, each of which ranks top-10 among all NFL running backs.
Over the final 13 weeks of the 2025 regular season, Swift's average of 5.39 yards per attempt was the second-best in the NFL among running backs with at least 100 attempts. An all-purpose player, since entering the league in 2020, Swift's 2,097 receiving yards and 271 receptions each rank as the fourth-most by any running back in the NFL.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Swift appeared in 43 career games over three seasons of action at Georgia (2017-19), finishing his tenure in Athens with the seventh-most rushing yards in program history (2,885). In 2019, Swift capped his collegiate tenure with a First-Team All-Southeastern Conference selection.
