New Bears linebacker Devin Bush talks with ChicagoBears.com about his linebacker Mount Rushmore, hidden talent, guilty pleasure movie and much more.
What was your welcome to the NFL moment?
I remember my first stretch line back in 2019. Somebody tapped me on my shoulder and was, like, 'Hey rookie, you're in the wrong spot.' And it was Big Ben (Roethlisberger). So I had to move down to the other side.
Who's on your linebacker Mount Rushmore?
I'm gonna go Derrick Brooks, London Fletcher, Clay Matthews and Ray Lewis.
What do you want to see or do in Chicago?
I want to see The Bean. I wanna go to a Cubs game and a Chicago Bulls game.
What can fans give you recommendations for in Chicago?
I love seafood, and I love oxtails.
What are three words that describe your playing style?
Fast, physical, energetic.
What's your favorite memory at Michigan?
Probably when I got Academic All-Big Ten.
What is a hidden talent you have?
I can juggle. I can juggle three things, and then I'm working on four, but I can get four a little bit.
What are your gameday essentials?
Water, fruit and headphones.
What are you listening to?
Anything. Everything, actually. It depends on my mood. I can go metal. I can go real heavy metal. I can go reggae real quick. I can go gospel real quick. Obviously rap. Rock. Just depends on how I feel.
Who inspires you the most?
Probably God, for real. Just because God is nothing you can see or touch, you've got to just believe.
Do you have a guilty pleasure show or movie?
Probably all the Friday movies.
If you could do any other dream job for a day, what would you do?
I'd be a firefighter. My friend's dad was a firefighter, so I think that's what kind of got me intrigued. That or probably a pilot.
