Roster Move: Bears activate Bush from COVID-19 list

The Bears on Thursday activated safety Deon Bush from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Bush sat out last Sunday's loss to the Titans after being placed on the COVID-19 list the night before the game. The new roster designation was created this year for players who either test positive for COVID-19 or who have been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person.

Bush has appeared in six games this season, recording four tackles and his first career NFL interception in a Week 2 win over the Giants. He missed two contests against the Buccaneers and Panthers with a hamstring injury.

Bush was selected by the Bears in the fourth round of the 2016 draft out of Miami. He has played in 60 games with eight starts over five seasons, contributing primarily on special teams.

Bush is the second Bears player to be activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list this week, joining tackle Jason Spriggs.
