The Bears on Tuesday signed veteran offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson to a one-year contract.

Wilkinson, 26, spent the past four seasons with the Broncos, appearing in 45 games with 26 starts after entering the NFL with Denver in 2017 as an undrafted free agent out of Massachusetts.

After opening the final seven games at right guard in 2018, Wilkinson started 12 contests at right tackle in 2019. He remained at right tackle last season, starting the first three games before being placed on injured reserve with a broken shinbone. Wilkinson recovered from the injury in time to return and start the final four contests of the season.

Since the start of free agency March 17, the Bears have added five players from other teams, with Wilkinson joining quarterback Andy Dalton (Cowboys), defensive lineman Angelo Blackson (Cardinals), outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu (Broncos) and cornerback Desmond Trufant (Lions).
