The Bears on Friday signed kicker Kai Forbath to their practice squad.

Forbath has appeared in 81 NFL games over eight seasons with Washington (2012-15), the Saints (2015), Vikings (2016-17), Jaguars (2018), Patriots (2019) and Cowboys (2019), making 86.8 percent of his field-goal attempts (131 of 151).

Forbath spent the final month of the 2019 season with the Cowboys, making all 10 field goals he attempted. He was re-signed by Dallas March 24 but was released Aug. 1. Forbath spent part of this season on the Panthers practice squad, but was cut Sept. 28.

The Bears on Friday also placed linebacker Devante Bond on practice squad injured reserve. Bond returned to the practice squad after he was moved to the active roster and played in Thursday night's win over the Buccaneers on special teams.
