The Chicago Bears on Friday announced the signing of tight end Sam Roush.
Roush was selected by Chicago in the second round (No. 69 overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft. Roush appeared in 48 career games over four seasons of action at Stanford (2022-25), including 34 starts at tight end for the Cardinal. As a team captain in 2025, Roush secured a career-best 49 receptions, earning Second-Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition. Over his career, Roush totaled 119 career receptions for 1,201 yards, along with four receiving touchdowns. Additionally, Roush received the Al Masters Award (2025), Stanford's highest athletic honor, and the Tommy Vardell Award (2025), which is presented to the Stanford Football player who best exemplifies excellence in both athletics and academics.
