Top 10: Bears moments vs. Lions
With Sunday's season opener in Detroit looming, senior writer Larry Mayer ranks the top 10 Bears moments he's witnessed against the Lions.

(10) Trubisky passes Bears to win
On Nov. 11, 2018, Mitchell Trubisky completed 23 of 30 passes for 355 yards with three touchdowns, no interceptions and a 148.6 passer rating in a 34-22 win over the Lions at Soldier Field.

(9) Edinger field goal caps late rally
Trailing 17-7 in the fourth quarter in a Nov. 24, 2002 game in Champaign, the Bears rallied for a 20-17 win on Paul Edinger's 40-yard field goal with 9:24 left in overtime.

(8) Bears defense flexed its muscles in 1985 win
Wilber Marshall knocked Joe Ferguson out of the 1985 season finale with a monster hit, and the Bears defense recorded six sacks, three interceptions and one touchdown against replacement Eric Hipple in a 37-17 win in Detroit.

(7) Edinger gives Lions the boot with long field goal
Paul Edinger's 54-yard field goal with :02 remaining in the 2000 season finale in Detroit gave the Bears a thrilling 23-20 win, eliminating the Lions from the playoffs and leading to a complete overhaul of Detroit's personnel department and coaching staff.

(6) Bears secure win after controversial call
The Bears escaped with a 19-14 victory over the Lions in the 2010 season opener at Soldier Field after a potential game-winning touchdown catch by Calvin Johnson was correctly ruled an incompletion because the Lions star had not maintained possession of the ball through the entire process of the catch.

(5) Jackson's pick-six gives Bears win in Detroit
On Thanksgiving Day in 2018, Eddie Jackson intercepted a Matthew Stafford pass and returned it 41 yards for a touchdown with 6:00 remaining in the fourth quarter, snapping a 16-16 tie and giving the Bears a 23-16 victory.

(4) Bears surprise Lions with fourth-quarter rally
The Bears outscored the Lions 13-0 in the fourth quarter of a 1986 Monday night game in Detroit, turning a 13-3 deficit into a 16-13 win. Kevin Butler snapped a 13-13 tie with a 22-yard field goal as time expired in regulation.

(3) Harbaugh connects with Anderson for overtime win
On Dec. 2, 1990, Jim Harbaugh's 50-yard touchdown pass to Neal Anderson in overtime lifted the Bears to a 23-17 win over the Lions. The Bears clinched the NFC Central title later that night when the Packers lost to the Vikings.

(2) Peanut's pick-six lifts Bears in overtime
On Oct. 30, 2005, Charles Tillman intercepted a Jeff Garcia pass in overtime and returned it 22 yards for a touchdown to give the Bears a 19-13 win in Detroit. It was the first of Tillman's team-record nine defensive TDs.

(1) Bears rally to stun Lions in Thanksgiving thriller
The Bears celebrated turkey day in Detroit in 1980 with a 23-17 overtime win. Dave Williams returned the overtime kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown after Vince Evans' 4-yard TD run had tied the game as time expired in regulation.
