Top 10: Longest plays in Bears history
Check out where Cordarrelle Patterson's 104-yard kickoff return touchdown Monday night against the Vikings ranks among the longest plays in Bears history.

(T-10) Gault 99-yard kickoff return
The Bears trailed the Redskins 10-0 when Willie Gault returned a kickoff 99 yards for a TD Sept. 29, 1985 at Soldier Field, sparking a 31-point second quarter en route to a 45-10 win for the eventual Super Bowl champions. The 31 points remain the most the Bears have ever scored in any quarter.

(T-10) Galimore 99-yard kickoff return
Willie Galimore produced the longest play of his stellar career with the Bears when he returned a kickoff 99 yards for a TD Oct. 4, 1958 in a loss to the Colts in Baltimore.

(9) Bingham 100-yard kickoff return
Unheralded rookie running back Don Bingham returned the second-half kickoff 100 yards for a TD to give the Bears a 17-0 lead en route to a 30-21 win over the Rams Nov. 18, 1956 at Wrigley Field.

Richie Petitbon set a Bears record that still stands for the longest interception return in franchise history when he dashed 101 yards for a TD in a 30-14 win over the Rams Dec. 9, 1962 at Wrigley Field.

Chris Williams returned a kickoff 101 yards for a TD in a 2014 loss to the Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

(T-5) Patterson 102-yard kickoff return
Cordarrelle Patterson registered the seventh kickoff return TD of his NFL career with a 102-yard score in a 2019 loss to the Saints at Soldier Field.

Johnny Knox returned the second-half kickoff 102 yards for a TD in a 48-24 win over the Lions Oct. 4, 2009 at Soldier Field. Knox's TD snapped a 21-21 tie for the Bears, who outscored the Lions 27-3 in the second half.

Gale Sayers produced the longest play of his illustrious Hall of Fame career with the Bears on Sept. 17, 1967 when he returned a kickoff 103 yards for a TD against the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

In Monday night's loss to the Vikings, Cordarrelle Patterson tied the NFL record for most kickoff return TDs with eight and set a mark for the longest kickoff return in Bears history with a 104-yard score at Soldier Field.
