After last Sunday's dramatic win over the Lions, senior writer Larry Mayer ranks the top 10 Bears' comeback victories he's witnessed.

(10) Bears 36, Dolphins 33 (OT)
Oct. 27, 1997 in Miami
In a contest that was moved from Sunday afternoon to Monday night due to a conflict with Game 7 of the World Series in the same stadium, the 0-7 Bears erased a 33-18 deficit over the final 5:48 of regulation.

(9) Bears 23, Panthers 22
Oct. 28, 2012 in Chicago
Badly outplayed for three-and-a-half quarters, the Bears turned a 19-7 deficit into a 20-19 lead with two touchdowns in a :08 span midway through the fourth quarter. After the Panthers regained a 22-20 lead with 2:27 to play, Robbie Gould booted a game-winning 41-yard field goal as time expired.

Kevin Butler booted a game-winning 52-yard field goal as time expired. Butler later said, "That was the most exciting kick I had as a Chicago Bear, strictly because of where we were at, the intensity and the rivalry. I made my scar in every Packer that day."

Nov. 13, 1977 in Chicago
Bob Avellini's 37-yard touchdown pass to tight end Greg Latta with :03 remaining enabled the Bears to rally from a 17-0 halftime deficit. After a 3-5 start, it was the first of six straight wins to finish the season as the Bears earned their first playoff berth since winning the 1963 NFL title.

Jim Harbaugh threw a 6-yard TD pass to Neal Anderson on the final play of regulation and then won the game with a 1-yard touchdown sneak late in overtime on Monday Night Football.

Sept. 13, 2020 in Detroit
Trailing the Lions 23-6 entering the fourth quarter, Mitchell Trubisky threw three touchdown passes in the final 13:39, including two in a 1:04 span late in the game, to lift the Bears to the stunning win.

Nov. 27, 1980 in Detroit
On Thanksgiving Day 1980 at the Pontiac Silverdome, Bears quarterback Vince Evans scrambled for a 4-yard touchdown to tie the game as time expired in the fourth quarter and Dave Williams followed by returning the overtime kickoff 95 yards for the game-winning TD.

The Bears overcame a 28-9 third-quarter deficit, eventually tying the score 31-31 with :26 remaining in the fourth quarter on Shane Matthews' 4-yard TD pass to David Terrell and Anthony Thomas' two-point conversion run. Mike Brown then intercepted a Jeff Garcia pass that was juggled by receiver Terrell Owens and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown on the first play of overtime.

Mike Brown became the first player in NFL history to return interceptions for touchdowns in back-to-back games when he picked off a Tim Couch pass that was deflected by Bryan Robinson and returned it 16 yards for a TD. The Bears trailed 21-7 late before Shane Matthews threw two touchdown passes in the final :28 of regulation—the second a 34-yard Hail Mary to running back James Allen with no time remaining.

The Bears staged a miraculous comeback on Monday Night Football, erasing a 23-3 deficit late in the third quarter by scoring two touchdowns on defense and one on special teams. After Mike Brown returned a fumble forced by Mark Anderson 3 yards for a TD late in the third period, Charles Tillman returned a fumble caused by Brian Urlacher 40 yards for a score and Devin Hester returned a punt 83 yards for a touchdown with 2:58 remaining.
