Injury Update: Rome Odunze back at practice, questionable for Sunday

Rome Odunze Injury Update 2025 Week 18 16x9 - 1W

Bears receiver Rome Odunze (foot) returned to practice on a limited basis Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Lions.

"Obviously I want to play, but I'm following their plan, so we'll see where that leads me on Sunday," Odunze said. "It's still up in the air right now. But I was able to go out there today, felt pretty good. I'm locked into what we're doing this week, so we'll see."

Odunze appeared in the first 12 games this season, catching 44 passes for 661 yards and six touchdowns. But he has missed the last four contests.

"It's definitely not for me," Odunze said. "It's tough to not play. I don't think I've been out this long in a while. It's definitely a challenge. I'm just trying to do my part and support the guys and support the season we're having, a tremendous season. We get a playoff shot, so just looking forward to the next opportunity."

Three other Bears players are questionable for Sunday's game: Safety Jaquan Brisker was added to the injury report Friday after being unable to practice due to an illness, while left tackle Ozzy Trapilo (knee/quad) and cornerback Nick McCloud (illness) were both limited in practice for the third straight day.

Defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka has been ruled out of the game with a concussion he sustained during last Sunday night's loss in San Francisco.
