The Bears on Sunday bolstered their injury-depleted offensive line, re-signing rookie Gage Cervenka. The 6-3, 325-pound guard from Clemson originally signed with the Bears May 13 but was waived six days later.

Cervenka appeared in 46 games with 23 starts over four seasons at Clemson from 2016-19. He set a school record with 44 bench press reps of 225 pounds in 2019. The Tigers posted a 29-1 record in his two seasons as a starter, winning the national championship in 2018.

The Bears were set to practice in full pads for the third straight day Sunday minus six offensive linemen. Germain Ifedi (hip), Teven Jenkins (back), James Daniels (quad), Lachavious Simmons (concussion) and Larry Borom (concussion) are out with injuries, while Elijah Wilkinson is on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
