The Chicago Bears on Friday announced the signing of two selections from the 2026 NFL Draft – defensive back Dillon Thieneman and offensive lineman Logan Jones.

Thieneman was selected by Chicago in the first round (No. 25 overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft. An AP First-Team All-America selection in 2025, Thieneman started all 15 games at Oregon (2025), earning First-Team All-Big Ten Conference honors after totaling 86 tackles, two interceptions and seven total passes defensed. Thieneman transferred to Oregon after two seasons at Purdue (2023-24), starting his career with the Boilermakers with AP Third-Team All-America recognition and earning First-Team Freshman All-America status. Over his two seasons at Purdue, Thieneman started all 24 games played, totaling over 100 tackles in each of his two seasons of action, amassing six interceptions. As a freshman (2023), Thieneman was named the recipient of the Thompson-Randle El Big Ten Freshman of the Year Award.

Jones was selected by the Bears in the second round (No. 57 overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft. A unanimous All-America selection and two-time First-Team All-Big Ten Conference (2024 and 2025) honoree, Jones prepped collegiately at Iowa (2020-25), starting 51-of-52 career games played at center for the Hawkeyes. As a team captain in 2025, Jones was named the Rimington Trophy recipient, presented annually to the top center in college football. Jones anchored an Iowa offensive front that received the Joe Moore Award last season, which is given to the best offensive line in college football. After starting his career at Iowa along the defensive line, Jones switched to offensive line, where he would go on to start 51 career games at center for the Hawkeyes.
