Top 10: Holiday wins
With the Bears set to play on Thanksgiving, web writer Eli Kaberon picks his 10 favorite holiday games (on 10 different holidays) in Bears history.

After struggling all game long, the Bears offense awoke when needed, scoring two touchdowns in the final 3:11 to lead Chicago to the win.

On the first night of the Festival of Lights, the Bears were led by the brightest star of them all, Walter Payton. The running back had 111 rushing yards and a TD as Chicago bounced back from its only loss of the season.

Facing the defending Super Bowl champs, the Bears pulled an upset, shocking the Cowboys in the season opener.

Despite trailing for most of the second half, the Bears rallied behind three fourth quarter field goals from Robbie Gould.

Rex Grossman threw for two touchdowns and Thomas Jones ran for two others as the Bears dominated every aspect of the game against the defending NFC champion Seahawks.

The Bears were not tricked on Halloween night, but instead were given a treat by rookie cornerback Nathan Vasher. He returned an interception 71 yards for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

After losing to Minnesota twice in the regular season, the Bears got their revenge in the playoffs. Chicago forced four turnovers, including one fumble returned for a touchdown, to advance through the wild card round.

Brett Favre threw for 317 yards, but the Bears defense picked him off four times in the Chicago victory. Lance Briggs had one of the interceptions, returning it 10 yards for a touchdown.

Dave Williams' 95-yard kickoff return to start overtime ended this Turkey Day classic. Bears quarterback Vince Evans had both a passing and rushing touchdown in the victory.

The final day of 1988 was the setting for the famous Fog Bowl at Soldier Field. Many fans watching live and on TV were unable to see because of the weather, but Dennis McKinnon had 108 receiving yards to help the Bears advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs.
