The Bears on Thursday launched an exclusive "Deeply Rooted" merchandise collection to honor Black History Month and celebrate the club's theme emphasizing the deep connection between Black history and American history.

The collection, featuring a t-shirt and snapback, was designed by the Bears Brand Creative department in collaboration with the organization's Diversity Equity & Inclusion team and B.L.A.C.C. (Building Leaders and Creating Community) Employee Resource Group led by Bears corporate partnerships manager Laron Davis and associate counsel Elaena Harris.

"We chose 'Deeply Rooted' as this year's theme for Black History Month to celebrate the rich history and the prolific future of Black people," Harris said. "Black culture has had a significant impact on the history of the United States, the City of Chicago, the game of football and the Chicago Bears. We hope that this collection pays homage to the seeds we have planted and the fruit we bear."

The design of both pieces draws inspiration from the "Deeply Rooted" theme and incorporates a black and gold color scheme. The gold shade with an orange tone reflects the essence of the Chicago Bears Brand.

"When I first learned that we were creating merchandise specifically for Black history, I was genuinely thrilled," Davis said. "It instilled in me a profound sense of pride to be part of an organization that is finding unique and innovative ways to celebrate Black history. I believe it's a fantastic approach to honoring Black history through fashion, as fashion plays a significant role in Black culture and identity. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our heritage in a vibrant and stylish manner."

The Bears partnered with New Era and '47 Brand to make both exclusive items available for online purchase until supplies last at Chicago Bears Pro Shop. Fans can also visit the link to shop items from Pro Standard, a Black-owned business.
