The Bears face a familiar foe on Sunday in the 49ers. Here are the most common opponents in Chicago's franchise history outside of division rivals.

T- 10. Atlanta Falcons - 26 games. Bears all-time record: 14-12. Most memorable game: The Bears defense shut down the speedy Michael Vick on October 7, 2001, limiting the Falcons QB to just 18 rushing yards in a 31-3 Chicago win. Brian Urlacher was the star of the game, returning a fumble 90 yards for a touchdown.

T-10. Pittsburgh Steelers - 26 games. Bears all-time record: 18-7-1. Most memorable game: Neal Anderson had both a rushing and receiving touchdown as Chicago topped the Steelers 30-6 on December 13, 1992. The win marked the final victory in Mike Ditka's career as Bears head coach.

T-10. Dallas Cowboys - 26 games. Bears all-time record: 11-15 (including 0-2 in playoffs). Most memorable game: December 9, 2013 was a frigid night at Soldier Field, but the Chicago offense was red hot. The Bears scored on each of their eight possessions, racking up 490 total yards and 33 first downs in a 45-28 win.

- New Orleans Saints - 29 games. Bears all-time record: 15-14 (including 2-0 in playoffs). Most memorable game: Chicago scored 21 consecutive fourth-quarter points to defeat the Saints in the NFC Championship Game on January 21, 2007, earning a spot in Super Bowl XLI.

- Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts - 43 games. Bears all-time record: 19-24 (including 0-1 in playoffs). Most memorable game: Johnny Unitas threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns, but a fourth-quarter touchdown run by Rick Casares gave the Bears a 21-20 win in Baltimore on October 29, 1961.

- Philadelphia Eagles - 44 games. Bears all-time record: 30-13-1 (including 1-2 in playoffs). Most memorable game: Known as the Fog Bowl, the Bears defeated Philadelphia 20-12 in the NFC divisional playoffs on Dec. 31, 1988. Vision was limited in the bizarre weather, making any sort of offense a tough task for both teams.

- Washington Redskins - 49 games. Bears all-time record: 23-25-1 (including 3-4 in playoffs). Most memorable game: In the most lopsided final score in NFL history, the Bears defeated Washington 73-0 on December 8, 1940. Seven different Chicago players found the end zone that day.Â

- Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 57 games. Bears all-time record: 38-19. Most memorable game: Matt Forte ran for 145 yards and a touchdown on October 23, 2011, as the Bears beat the Bucs 24-18 in London's Wembley Stadium.

- New York Giants - 58 games. Bears all-time record: 28-20-2 (including 5-3 in playoffs). Most memorable game: On December 29, 1963, at Wrigley Field, Billy Wade ran for a 1-yard touchdown in the third quarter to give the Bears the go-ahead score in Chicago's 14-10 win over the Giants in the NFL Championship Game.

- San Francisco 49ers - 64 games. Bears all-time record: 30-33-1 (including 0-3 in playoffs). Most memorable game: December 12, 1965, when rookie Gale Sayers set an NFL record scoring six touchdowns in a single game as the Bears beat San Francisco 61-20.

T-1. Los Angeles/St. Louis/Cleveland Rams - 92 games. Bears all-time record: 53-36-3 (including 1-1 in playoffs). Most memorable game: Chicago booked its spot in Super Bowl XX by topping the Rams 24-0 on January 12, 1986, in the NFC Championship game.

Most memorable game: The Bears won one of the most amazing "Monday Night Football" games ever on October 16, 2006, thanks to two defensive touchdowns and a punt return score by Devin Hester to top the Cardinals.
