Bears reveal jersey numbers for new players

The Bears have announced the jersey numbers the players they've acquired this offseason will wear. Here's a complete list (in numerical order):

2 DJ Moore, receiver

Moore wore No. 12 in his first three seasons with the Panthers before switching to No. 2 after the NFL permitted receivers to don single digits in 2021. Cairo Santos wore No. 2 the past three seasons with the Bears but has switched to No. 8.

15 P.J. Walker, quarterback

Walker wore No. 6 with the Panthers in 2020-21 before changing to No. 11 last year. Backup quarterback Trevor Siemian wore No. 15 with the Bears last season.

17 Ryan Anderson, punter

Anderson wore Nos. 2 and 17 during training camp with the Giants in 2019. Three players wore No. 17 with the Bears last season – receivers Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Nsimba Webster and quarterback Tim Boyle.

18 Robert Tonyan, tight end

Tonyan wore No. 85 each of the past five seasons with the Packers. Fourth-year tight end Cole Kmet wears No. 85 with the Bears. Receiver Dante Pettis wore No. 18 with the Bears last season and switched to No. 86 after re-signing with the team April 17.

20 Travis Homer, running back

Homer wore No. 25 each of the past four seasons with the Seahawks. Second-year running back Trestan Ebner wears No. 25 with the Bears. The last Bears player to wear No. 20 was cornerback Breon Borders last year.

Take a look at new Bears running back Travis Homer in action. The 5-10, 202-pounder appeared in 49 games with two starts over four seasons with Seattle, rushing for 453 yards and one touchdown on 83 carries, catching 52 passes for 464 yards and one TD and averaging 24.7 yards on 18 kickoff returns.

29 D'Onta Foreman, running back

Foreman will wear his fourth different number in the NFL. He previously donned Nos. 27 with the Texans (2017-18), 45 with the Titans (2020-21) and 33 with the Panthers (2020). The last Bears player to wear No. 29 was running back Tarik Cohen in 2020.

49 Tremaine Edmunds, linebacker

Edmunds wore No. 49 in each of his five seasons with the Bills. The last Bears player to wear No. 49 was linebacker Charles Snowden in 2021.

53 T.J. Edwards, linebacker

Edwards wore No. 57 in each of his four seasons with the Eagles. His former Wisconsin teammate, second-year linebacker Jack Sanborn, wears No. 57 with the Bears. The last Bears player to wear No. 53 was linebacker Nicholas Morrow last season.

55 Dylan Cole, linebacker

Cole will wear his fourth different number in the NFL. He previously wore Nos. 51 with the Texans (2017-20) and 45 with the Titans in 2021 before switching to 53 with Tennessee last year. The last Bears player to wear No. 55 was defensive end Al Quadin-Muhammad last season.

64 Nate Davis, guard

Davis wore No. 64 each of the past four seasons with the Titans. The last Bears player to wear No. 64 was defensive tackle Mike Pennel Jr. last year.

94 Rasheem Green, defensive line

Green sported both No. 94 and 98 during his time with the Seahawks (2018-21) and wore No. 92 last season with the Texans. Defensive linemen Robert Quinn and Andrew Brown wore No. 94 for the Bears in 2022. Brown will now wear No. 92.

95 DeMarcus Walker, defensive end

Walker will wear his fourth different number in the NFL. He previously donned Nos. 57 with the Broncos (2017-20), 44 with the Texans (2021) and 95 with the Titans (2022). The last Bears player to wear No. 95 was defensive tackle Jalyn Holmes last season. Holmes has switched to No. 90.

97 Andrew Billings, defensive tackle

Billings wore No. 99 with the Bengals (2017-19) and Browns (2021) and No. 97 with the Raiders (2020). Fourth-year defensive end Trevis Gipson wears No. 99 with the Bears. The last Bears player to don No. 97 was defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. in 2021.
