Wells was selected by the Patriots in the sixth round of this year's draft out of Mississippi State, where the 6-2, 230-pounder appeared in 52 games with 33 starts.

Groy joined the Bears last year as an undrafted free agent from Wisconsin. After spending the first nine weeks of the season on the practice squad, he was promoted to the 53-man roster and started the final three games at left guard in place of the injured Matt Slauson.
