The Bears on Friday waived defensive lineman Ego Ferguson.

Since arriving in 2014 as a second-round draft pick from LSU, he has appeared in 20 games with one start, recording 36 tackles, two sacks and three pass breakups.

Ferguson was limited to four games in 2015 by a knee injury and missed the entire 2016 season with a shoulder injury he sustained in the preseason finale.
