Bears elevate Sadowski to senior national scout

The Bears on Thursday announced that Mark Sadowski has been promoted to senior national scout.

Sadowski has 16 years of NFL scouting experience with the New Orleans Saints (1998-2005) and Bears (2005-13), including spending the past year as one of Chicago's national scouts.

"Mark has been essential in the scouting and the evaluation of player talent since joining the Bears," said general manager Phil Emery. "He has also been integral in establishing how we are using technology to elevate our scouting process and personnel operations."

Sadowski served as the Bears' Southeast area scout from 2005-12 after working for the Saints as a pro scout (1998-99), NFS combine scout (2000) and Southeast area scout (2001-05).
