Bears re-sign Hurst to practice squad

The Bears on Tuesday re-signed defensive back Demontre Hurst to the practice squad, one day after he had been waived from the 53-man roster.

Hurst was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday and played in Sunday's loss to the Colts. He has appeared in 23 games with three starts in three seasons with the Bears, recording 41 tackles on defense and nine stops on special teams, one interception, two pass breakups and one forced fumble.
