Bears reveal first unofficial depth chart

The Bears released their first unofficial depth chart Monday in advance of Thursday night's preseason opener against the Broncos at Soldier Field.

As expected, Mike Glennon is listed as the starting quarterback, ahead of Mark Sanchez and rookie first-round draft pick Mitch Trubisky.

Cameron Meredith is listed as a starting receiver on the Bears' depth chart.

Cameron Meredith is the starter at one receiver position, ahead of Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright, Deonte Thompson, Rueben Randle and Tanner Gentry. Kevin White is first at the other spot, ahead of Markus Wheaton, Josh Bellamy, Daniel Braverman, Titus Davis and Alton Howard.

Jordan Howard is the No. 1 running back, followed by Jeremy Langford, Tarik Cohen, Ka'Deem Carey, Benny Cunningham and Joshua Rounds.

The starting offensive line consists of left tackle Charles Leno Jr., left guard Kyle Long, center Cody Whitehair, right guard Josh Sitton and right tackle Bobby Massie. The second unit is comprised of left tackle Bradley Sowell, left guard Cyril Richardson, center Hroniss Grasu, right guard Will Poehls and right tackle Tom Compton.

Dion Sims is the starting tight end, ahead of Zach Miller, Adam Shaheen, Daniel Brown, Ben Braunecker and MyCole Pruitt.

On defense, Akiem Hicks is the starter at one end position, ahead of Jaye Howard Jr., Kapron Lewis-Moore and Roy Robertson-Harris. Mitch Unrein is No. 1 at the other spot, ahead of Jonathan Bullard and C.J Wilson. Eddie Goldman is the starting nose tackle, ahead of John Jenkins and Rashaad Coward.

At inside linebacker, Danny Trevathan and Jerrell Freeman are the starters, Nick Kwiatkoski and John Timu are the backups, and Jonathan Anderson and Christian Jones are listed with the third team.

At outside linebacker, Leonard Floyd and Willie Young are the starters, Pernell McPhee and Sam Acho are the backups, and Lamarr Houston and Dan Skuta are listed with the third team.

Prince Amukamara is the starter at one cornerback position, ahead of Bryce Callahan, Cre'Von LeBlanc and Sherrick McManis, while Marcus Cooper is first at the other spot ahead of Kyle Fuller, B.W. Webb, Jonathan Banks and Rashaad Reynolds.

At safety, Quintin Demps and Adrian Amos are the starters, Harold Jones-Quartey and Chris Prosinski are the backups, and Deon Bush and DeAndre Houston-Carson are listed with the third team, ahead of rookie Eddie Jackson.

Thompson is listed as the No. 1 kickoff returner, followed by Benny Cunningham, Cohen and Jackson, while Callahan is the top punt returner, ahead of LeBlanc, Jackson and Cohen.
