Bears sign wide receiver Greg Herd

One day after the Bears lost receiver Marquess Wilson indefinitely with a fractured clavicle, they bolstered the position on Tuesday by signing Greg Herd to a one-year contract.

Herd entered the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted free agent with the Cowboys and also spent time with the Seahawks last summer in training camp. In four seasons at Eastern Michigan, Herd had 165 receptions for 2,343 yards and 17 touchdowns.

The Bears also waived linebacker Conor O'Neill, an undrafted rookie from Wisconsin.
