Bears waive long-snapper Hartson

The Bears on Sunday waived long-snapper Brandon Hartson.

Hartson appeared in all four preseason games after signing with the Bears last Dec. 30. He originally entered the NFL with the Bears in 2013 as an undrafted free agent from Houston, playing in three preseason games before he was released.

The Bears will continue to look for a replacement for longtime long-snapper Patrick Mannelly, who retired in June after setting franchise records for most seasons (16) and games played (245).
