Bennett hosting fundraiser to benefit charity

Shortly before the Bears head to Bourbonnais to begin training camp, wide receiver Earl Bennett will hold a dinner party in Chicago to benefit his charity, "Earl Bennett's Legends for Literacy."

!

III Forks (180 N. Field Boulevard) will host "The Prime Experience with Earl Bennett" on Sunday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include a reception, three-course dinner by executive chef Clark Grant, cocktails and the opportunity to meet and mingle with Bennett and other pro athletes.

Guests will be able to ask questions about the upcoming season, purchase raffle tickets and enjoy silent and live auctions.

Tickets cost $200 and include dinner and drinks. VIP tickets are $250 and include dinner and drinks plus a rooftop reception with Bennett and other celebrities, and photo and autograph opportunities. Those purchasing two tickets, regular and VIP, will receive a signed commemorative gift from Bennett.

All proceeds will benefit Earl Bennett's Legends for Literacy, which provides reading tools and training that increases the literacy proficiency rate in after-school programs in and around Chicago.

Bennett says he is "looking forward to the support of the Chicago Bears community as I team with Dream Builders to create the Legends for Literacy program here in Chicago. It is important to encourage our youth today to turn off the TV and put down the video game controllers, and pick up a book and read. Join me as I work to increase the literacy proficiency rates around the Chicago community."

To purchase tickets, call III Forks at 312-938-4303. [
