Here are some notable numbers and stats from the Bears' season opener Monday night against the Vikings:

10

Consecutive pass completions to start the game by Caleb Williams, the most of his career. The 10 straight completions to open the contest were the most by a Bears quarterback in a season opener since at least 1978.

4

Three-and-outs forced by the Bears defense in the first half, the most by the Bears in a first half since they had five Nov. 8, 2020, against the Titans. The four three-and-outs in the first half and the seven in the game both were the most by any NFL defense in Week 1.

74

Yards covered by cornerback Nahshon Wright on his interception return touchdown. His first NFL TD came in his 34th career game. Wright signed with the Bears this year after playing for the Cowboys (2021-23) and Vikings (2024).

3

Sacks by the Bears, all by the defensive line. Gervon Dexter Sr., Dayo Odeyingbo and Tanoh Kpassagnon all sacked quarterback J.J. McCarthy. It was the first sack for Kpassagnon, who was elevated from the practice squad Monday, since Dec. 17, 2023, when he registered three sacks for the Saints in a win over the Giants. Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen was New Orleans' head coach at the time.

0

Third down conversions allowed by the Bears defense on eight attempts through the first three quarters. It was the unit's first time not permitting a third down conversion through three periods since Nov. 27, 2023, also versus the Vikings.

44

Receiving yards compiled by Vikings All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson, his second lowest total in a game since the start of the 2024 season. The only contest in which he was held to fewer yards was also by the Bears last year when he was limited to 27 yards. Jefferson averages 95.8 yards per game, the best in NFL history. But in his last four games at Soldier Field, he has been held to 44, 27, 38 and 47 yards.

9

Team-leading tackles by linebacker Noah Sewell, who made the first start of his three-year NFL career in place of the injured T.J. Edwards.

150+

Former Bears players who attended the game as part of Alumni Homecoming Weekend, the largest contingent in franchise history. The weekend also included an alumni dinner and river cruise. As part of the festivities, the Bears celebrated the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1985 Super Bowl XX championship team.
