Lynch on 'Inside Rookie Minicamp'

The fourth of ChicagoBears.com's five-part series "Inside Rookie Minicamp" features Jordan Lynch's transition from college quarterback to NFL running back.

"It felt a lot different," said Lynch, who signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent. "It's more physical now. So that's kind of the adjustment that I have to make, all the physical work."

As a quarterback at Northern Illinois, the Chicago area native excelled as both a passer and runner. He finished third in Heisman Trophy voting last year as a senior after throwing for 2,892 yards and 24 touchdowns and running for 1,920 yards and 23 TDs.

"He had been playing quarterback in college, so instead of taking the snap and running the ball from a quarterback position he actually had to stand back there at seven yards, get the ball from the quarterback and get a feel for how to read these plays," said offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer.

"I can't imagine how hard that was for him, but Jordan did a good job of showing knowledge of the position and that just showed a knowledge of football."

"Inside Rookie Minicamp," which is presented by Chicago Tribune Digital Sports, gives fans unprecedented access to Bears players and coaches. Viewers will be taken inside meeting rooms, the locker room, weight room, equipment room, lunch room and onto the practice field.

"Inside Rookie Minicamp" was shot and produced by the Chicago Bears Network using specialty cameras and incorporating 4K footage. The five segments will be featured on ChicagoBears.com and the Chicago Bears Official Mobile App throughout June.
