Mostert elevated from practice squad

The Bears on Wednesday promoted running back Raheem Mostert from the practice squad to the active roster and signed linebacker Ronald Powell to the practice squad.

Mostert, 24, entered the NFL in 2015 with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue. He has also spent time with the Browns, Ravens, Dolphins and Jets, appearing in 11 games and averaging 27.9 yards on 19 kickoff returns.

Powell was selected by the Saints in the fifth round of the 2014 draft. He appeared in 14 games with New Orleans in 2014-15 and has also spent time on the Buccaneers practice squad.
