Payton documentary debuting Tuesday

The Bears and Comcast SportsNet will debut a new installment of its partnered Bears Classics documentary series when the network will take a look back at the brilliant career and amazing life of one of the greatest players in the history of professional football.

Debuting Tuesday at 7 p.m. exclusively on Comcast SportsNet, Bears Classics will present a special edition dedicated to the one and only Walter Payton, a Hall of Fame legend and a man who transformed the game of football forever with his athletic prowess and undeniable charisma.

The show will re-air at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9 and 4 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Payton would have turned 60 years old in 2014, which also sadly marks the 15th anniversary of his passing at the young age of 45. Bears Classics: Payton Forever delves deep into the life and career of "Sweetness," featuring candid memories and anecdotes from family members, friends, former teammates and media members who were all honored and fortunate to have been part of his life.

As with the previous editions of this Emmy-nominated documentary series, local/national television broadcasting legend/multiple Peabody & Emmy Award winner Bill Kurtis narrates this installment of Bears Classics.
