Postgame notes: Bears at Rams

ChicagoBears.com takes a look at some stats and facts from Sunday's game against the Rams.

QB Josh McCown set a single-game franchise record with 36 completions in Week 12 at St. Louis on 47 attempts (76.6 percent). The previous high was 34 attempts by Brian Griese (9/30/07 at DET) and Jim Miller (11/14/99 vs. MIN).

QB Josh McCown had 352 passing yards in Week 12 at St. Louis (36-of-47 with two touchdowns and one interception). The 352 passing yards were the third most of McCown's NFL career and his most as a member of the Bears. McCown now has five 300-yard passing games in his NFL career. It was his first 300-yard passing contest since throwing for 313 versus Detroit on September 9, 2007.
On the 2013 season, McCown is 97-of-148 passing (65.5%) for 1,106 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception for a 100.8 passer rating.

TE Martellus Bennett hauled in a four receptions for 62 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown pass in Week 12 at St. Louis. It was his fifth touchdown reception of the season, tying a career-high he set last year with the New York Giants. Bennett now has 1,157 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns over the last two seasons, one of seven tight ends in the NFL to have over 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdown receptions since 2012. In his first season with the Bears, Bennett has 46 receptions for 531 yards and five touchdowns.

WR Brandon Marshall hauled in 10 receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown in Week 12 at St. Louis. It was the fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season for Marshall and his 12th since joining the Bears in 2012. Marshall is now tied with Curtis Conway for the fourth-most 100-yard receiving games in franchise history. Harlon Hill is the franchise record holder with 19.
Marshall has 100-yards receiving in three of Chicago's last four contests.
On the season, Marshall has 74 receptions for 945 yards and nine touchdowns.

Bears RB Matt Forte hauled in seven receptions for 40 yards in Week 12 at St. Louis. With his first reception of the game, Forte broke a tie with Hall of Famer Mike Ditka (316) for the fifth most receptions in franchise history. Forte now has 323 career receptions for 2,739 yards and nine touchdowns. He is seven receptions away from surpassing Marty Booker and Curtis Conway (329 each) for the third most receptions in franchise history.

Bears RB Matt Forte had 77 rushing yards in Week 12 at St. Louis giving him 6,178 for his career, surpassing Neal Anderson (6,166) for the second most in franchise history. Hall of Famer Walter Payton is the franchise-record holder with 16,726 rushing yards.
On the 2013 season, Forte has 191 carries for 851 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.

Bears RB Matt Forte (1,148) had 117 yards from scrimmage (77 rushing and 40 receiving) in Week 12 at St. Louis.
Forte now has 1,265 yards from scrimmage on the season (851 rushing and 414 receiving). Forte has reached 1,200 yards from scrimmage every season of his six-year career (2008-13). He is the first player in franchise history to accomplish the feat and the eighth in NFL history:

Rookie DE David Bass recorded his first career sack when in Week 12 at St. Louis, dropping Rams QB Kellen Clemens for a nine-yard loss. Bass had his first career interception and touchdown on the same play last week versus Baltimore. Bass is a St. Louis native.

Bears PR/KR Devin Hester had 90 kickoff return yards on four returns in Week 12 at St. Louis. Hester now has 5,005 career kickoff return yards to go along with 3,144 punt return yards. Hester is one of just five players in NFL history with 5,000 kickoff return yards and 3,000 punt return yards in their careers joining Brian Mitchell, Allen Rossum, David Meggett and Eric Metcalf.
