Fourth Quarter:

*Bears top 49ers 28-20


(10:47 pm) – The Bears' front four applies constant pressure to Colin Kaepernick on the 49ers final drive, but San Francisco is able to drive down to the Chicago 17. When Kaepernick's 4th & 9 pass intended for Michael Crabtree falls incomplete, the Bears take over on downs and run out the clock to preserve the victory and move to 1-1 on the season.

Bears close out 49ers

(10:45pm) - The 49ers reached the Bears 13, but turned the ball over on downs when Colin Kaepernick's pass was just out of Michael Crabtree's reach. The Bears take over with 1:11 to play.

Bears take 28-20 lead

(10:29pm) - Rookie cornerback Kyle Fuller did it again, intercepting his second Colin Kaepernick pass in as many possessions, and returning it 18 yards to the San Francisco 42.

Four plays later, Jay Cutler's 3-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall gave the Bears a 28-20 lead with 6:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. The score came after Cutler completed a 29-yard pass to Alshon Jeffery to the San Francisco 8.

*Bears take first lead of game


(10:36pm) - With the Bears down to only two healthy cornerbacks, Kyle Fuller intercepted a pass intended for Michael Crabtree and returned it 20 yards to the San Francisco 3.

On the next play, Jay Cutler rifled a 3-yard touchdown pass to tight end Martellus Bennett, giving the Bears a 21-20 lead with 13:14 left in the fourth quarter.

Down 20-7, the Bears have scored two TDs in :21 to take the lead.

Bears cut deficit to six

(10:08pm) - Jay Cutler's 5-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall drew the Bears to within 20-14 with 13:35 left in the fourth quarter. The TD capped a 13-play, 80-yard drive that burned 7:21 off the clock.


Third Quarter:

Injury bug bites Bears

(10:06pm) - Injuries continue to mount for the Bears, who have lost several players tonight: Cornerback Kyle Fuller (triceps), safety Chris Conte (shoulder), cornerback Sherrick McManis (quad) and defensive end Trevor Scott (foot). Defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff is being evaluated for a concussion.

Niners increase lead to 20-7

(9:47pm) - Phil Dawson's 24-yard field goal on the opening possession of the second half enabled the 49ers to extend their lead to 20-7 with 5:56 left in the third quarter.

The kick capped a 14-play, 84-yard drive that burned 9:04 off the clock.


Second Quarter:

*Marshall makes one-handed TD catch


(9:16pm) - Brandon Marshall pulled the Bears to within 17-7 with :13 left in the first half by leaping high in the air to make a spectacular one-handed 17-yard touchdown reception from Jay Cutler. The score capped a seven-play, 80-yard drive.

Gore gives 49ers a 17-0 lead

(9:02pm) - The 49ers increased their lead to 17-0 on Frank Gore's 8-yard touchdown run with 2:22 left in the first half. The score capped a four-play, 30-yard drive.

San Francisco started its drive at the Chicago 30 after the Bears offense went in reverse for the third straight possession. Center Brian de la Puente, the injury replacement for Roberto Garza, sent a shotgun snap back to Jay Cutler before he was ready to receive it.

Brandon Marshall hustled back to recover the loose ball at the Chicago 2, but Pat O'Donnell was forced to punt out of his own end zone.

*Conte makes diving pick


(8:45pm) - After the 49ers took over at the 50 following a Bears punt, safety Chris Conte made a sensational diving interception on a pass deep down the middle intended for Anquan Boldin.

Conte now has an interception in three straight games dating back to last year's season finale and has accounted for both Bears takeaways this season.

After the interception, the Bears went three-and-out for the second straight possession and followed by committing three penalties on Pat O'Donnell's subsequent punt.


First Quarter:

Niners go up by 10

(8:15pm) - Phil Dawson's 27-yard field goal gave the 49ers a 10-0 lead with 2:48 left in the first quarter. The kick capped a 14-play, 72-yard drive that burned 7:44 off the clock.

The 49ers converted their first three third-down plays on the possession as Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller was penalized for holding on third-and-15, Colin Kaepernick completed passes to Vernon Davis of 14 yards on third-and-10 and 17 yards on third-and-one.

On the fourth play of the possession, Charles Tillman made a sliding interception at the Chicago 42. But a replay review showed that the ball hit the ground and the call was overturned.

Niners take early lead

(7:45pm) - Colin Kapernick's 3-yard touchdown pass to receiver Michael Crabtree on third-and-goal gave the 49ers a quick 7-0 lead with 12:42 left in the first quarter.

San Francisco started its first possession at the Chicago 8 after Aaron Lynch blocked Pat O'Donnell's punt and the ball rolled out of bounds.

The Bears had opened the game at their own 7 after Senorise Perry unwisely brought the opening kickoff out from seven yards deep in the end zone and Shaun Draughn was penalized for holding.
