Fourth Quarter:

Bears record first takeaway of game

(6:19pm) - Demontre Hurst, playing nickel back for the Bears, intercepted a Matt Ryan pass at the Chicago 45 on fourth-and-14 from the Atlanta 39 with 3:37 left in the fourth quarter.


Bears increase lead*

(6:00pm) - Kyle Long's 9-yard touchdown run up the middle on third-and-goal coupled with Jay Cutler's two-point conversion pass gave the Bears a 27-13 lead with 10:07 left in the fourth quarter.

The score capped a 15-play, 87-yard drive that burned 8:28 off the clock. Cutler has passed for 381 yards, his most in six seasons with the Bears.

Third Quarter:



Bears retake lead*

(5:38pm) - The Bears struck back quickly after the Falcons field goal, taking a 19-13 lead on Matt Forte's 6-yard touchdown run up the middle with 5:06 left in the third quarter. Robbie Gould's extra point attempt was blocked by Ra'Shede Hageman.

The TD came one play after Jay Cutler rainbowed a 74-yard bomb to Alshon Jeffery.

Falcons knot game 13-13

(5:31pm) - The Falcons tied the score 13-13 on Matt Bryant's 54-yard field goal with 6:19 left in the third quarter. The kick capped a 10-play, 33-yard drive.

The Falcons settled for the field goal after linebacker Darryl Sharpton broke up a third-down pass intended for Roddy White with a hard hit over the middle.

Falcons close to within 13-10

(5:14pm) - Antone Smith's 41-yard touchdown reception on a screen pass from Matt Ryan drew the Falcons to within 13-10 with 11:19 left in the third quarter. The score capped a 7-play, 86-yard drive. The Falcons caught the Bears in an all-out blitz on the play on third-and-six.


Second Quarter:

Bears increase margin to 13-3

(4:45pm) - Robbie Gould's 28-yard field goal gave the Bears a 13-3 lead with :02 left in the first half. The kick capped a 12-play, 83-yard drive that was highlighted by Jay Cutler's 26-yard pass to Alshon Jeffery from the Chicago 7.


Bears take 10-3 lead*

(4:20pm) - Jay Cutler's 3-yard touchdown pass to Josh Morgan gave the Bears a 10-3 lead with 5:59 left in the second quarter. The score capped a 7-play, 79-yard drive that was highlighted by Cutler's 47-yard pass to Brandon Marshall on third-and-six from the 50.

On the TD, Cutler rolled to his right and rifled the ball to Morgan, who got in the end zone for the first time since Week 16 of the 2012 season when he was with the Redskins.


First Quarter:

Bears tie score 3-3

(4:02pm) - The Bears tied the score 3-3 on Robbie Gould's 25-yard field goal with 14:47 left in the second quarter. The kick capped a 9-play, 54-yard drive.

The Bears settled for the field goal after Jay Cutler failed to connect with Brandon Marshall in the left corner of the end zone on second-and-three from the 7 and Matt Forte on third down.

Falcons take 3-0 lead

(3:39pm) - Matt Bryant's 52-yard field goal gave the Falcons a 3-0 lead with 9:41 left in the first quarter. The kick capped a 7-play, 32-yard drive that began at the Atlanta 34 after Devin Hester's 12-yard punt return.

The Falcons settled for the field goal after Chris Conte broke up a Matt Ryan pass over the middle intended for Julio Jones on third-and-10.
