Fourth Quarter


Bears fall to Saints*

(10:30pm) – Jay Cutler leads the Bears offense down the field on a drive covering four plays and 71 yards, resulting in a seven-yard touchdown pass to Alshon Jeffery. The Bears' second touchdown of the night yield the final points of the game as the Bears fall to the Saints 31-15 at Soldier Field.

Bears break shutout

(9:54pm) - The Bears cut the deficit to 24-8 on Jay Cutler's 1-yard touchdown pass to Marquess Wilson and Cutler's two-point conversion pass to Martellus Bennett with 12:47 left in the fourth quarter. The TD capped a 7-play, 56-yard drive.


Third Quarter:

Saints take 24-0 lead

(9:43pm) - Shayne Graham's 25-yard field goal gave the Saints a 24-0 lead with :16 left in the third quarter, capping an eight-play, 49-yard drive.

Saints widen lead to 21-0

(9:24pm) - Drew Brees' 7-yard touchdown pass to tight end Josh Hill on the opening possession of the second half gave the Saints a 21-0 lead with 8:35 left in the third quarter. The TD capped a 12-play, 80-yard drive. The Bears have now been outgained 325-92.


Second Quarter:

Saints take 14-0 lead

(8:51pm) - Drew Brees' 9-yard touchdown pass to receiver Marques Colston gave the Saints a 14-0 lead with :32 left in the first half. The TD capped a 10-play, 95-yard drive.

To this point, the Bears have gained 60 yards against the NFL's 31st-ranked defense.

Saints take 7-0 lead

(8:10pm) - Drew Brees' 8-yard touchdown pass to tight end Josh Hill gave the Saints a 7-0 lead on the first play of the second quarter. The TD capped a 7-play, 85-yard drive that included a 31-yard gain by running back Pierre Thomas. On third-and-three at the Chicago 25, rookie cornerback Kyle Fuller was flagged for interfering with tight end Jimmy Graham.


First Quarter:


Game remains scoreless*

(7:56pm) - The Saints had two chances to kick a 51-yard field goal, but failed on both tries. First, holder Luke McCown botched a perfect snap. But offsetting penalties—including a holding foul against Jared Allen—negated the play. Shayne Graham then missed short and wide to the right from 51 yards.

Back-to-back turnovers

(7:42pm) - Both teams turned the ball over on their opening drives.

Jay Cutler's pass over the middle deflected off tight end Martellus Bennett's outstretched hands and was intercepted by cornerback Patrick Robinson, who returned it two yards to the Chicago 24.

Two plays later, rookie safety Brock Vereen forced a Nick Toon fumble after a short reception that Jared Allen recovered at the Chicago 3.
