"When we get on the field," Trestman says in a sit-down interview, "we want them to understand what we're trying to get accomplished—the speed of practice, the tempo, what we're trying to get out of our individual period, our team periods, our walkthroughs …"

"Inside Rookie Minicamp," which is presented by Chicago Tribune Digital Sports, gives fans unprecedented access to Bears players and coaches. Viewers will be taken inside meeting rooms, the locker room, weight room, equipment room, lunch room and onto the practice field.

A total of 66 players participated in the rookie minicamp: Eight draft picks, nine undrafted free agents, 11 Bears players with less than a full year of NFL experience and 38 prospects participating on a tryout basis.

"When they walked into Halas Hall, it was a dream come true; to be in an NFL building and to be part of a National Football League team," Trestman said. "So for those 72 hours as coaches what we tried to do was provide an opportunity for each and every one to truly be Chicago Bears.

"The hardest part obviously is saying goodbye to them. Some of them will have to come to terms with the reality that this was their last chance to play in the NFL, and as I reminded them a lot of them have to be ready for the next interview."

"Inside Rookie Minicamp" was shot and produced by the Chicago Bears Network using specialty cameras and incorporating 4K footage. The five segments have been featured on ChicagoBears.com and the Chicago Bears Official Mobile App throughout June.
